Course Objectives

Classes are small, with only 5 students in each class.  In this 4 hour course, you will cover the following:

  • Navigation & Familiarisation - understand how to change views and columns, screens and menu bars
  • Understand how to set up the configuration to suit your business type
  • Set up your company preferences
  • Adding, editing & copying a Chart of Accounts and dealing with any errors
  • Set up bank, customer, supplier and invoice defaults.
  • Adding & editing nominal ledger accounts
  • Understand the function of the control accounts
  • Create bank, credit card and cash nominal ledger accounts
  • Understand the backup and restore routines

Course Materials

As well as receiving a certificate of attendance, each delegate will, as part of the course fee, will receive training material relative to the course.

THE NEXT STEP….

The Essentials course (3 hours) continues the process of having a basic understanding of the Sage software, the basic fundamentals of the purchase and sales ledger, receipts and payments and journals.

For a more in-depth course, Sage 50 Beginners outlines the basic elements needed in every business, including the purchase and sales ledgers, nominal ledgers and bank reconciliations.  This course is a full day course.
